    EMPLOYMENT TERM: 2023-2024 School Year, Contract 250 days
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree including 24 semester hours of coursework in Accounting (required)
    • Previous experience working with Accounts Payable and Payroll preferred
    • Have knowledge of WV Board of Education financial policies
    • Have knowledge/experience in the West Virginia Education Information System (WVEIS) preferred
    SALARY: Based on Professional Salary Scale for Degree and Experience and additional county supplement
    REPORTS TO: Treasurer
    JOB DESCRIPTION:
    • Preparation and processing of County Payroll
    • Maintain all payroll records/documentation
    • Supervision of all school personnel involved in the payroll process
    • Preparation and filing of all payroll taxes and documentation
    • Preparation and filing of all Retirement payments and documentation
    • Preparation and filing of all PEIA payments and documentation
    • Preparation and filing of all Insurances and payroll deduction checks and related documentation
    • Preparing W2’s
    • EMS year end procedures
    • New employee set-up in EMS and maintenance of EMS for all employees
    • Oversees all accounts payable processes
    • Assist treasurer in Certified list preparation
    • Assist treasurer in year- end processes, including financial statement preparation
    • Reconcile employee verification requests
    • Reconcile bank statements
    • Other duties as assigned by Treasurer and/or Superintendent
